A Message from St. Patrick

St. Patrick wrote:

“I was like a stone lying in deep mud;

and He that is mighty came and in his mercy lifted me up,

and raised me aloft and put me on top of the wall.

And therefore I ought to shout out aloud

and return something to the Lord

for the great mercy he has shown me now and for all ages.”

Charles Wesley sang:

Long my imprisoned spirit lay,

fast bound in sin and nature’s night;

thine eye diffused a quickening ray;

I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;

my chains fell off, my heart was free,

I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.

The Lord Jesus Christ explained:

You should not be surprised at My saying,

‘You must be born again.’

The wind blows wherever it pleases.

You hear its sound,

but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going.

So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”  (Joh 3:7-8 NIV)

“Ask and it will be given to you;

seek and you will find;

knock and the door will be opened to you.  (Mat 7:7 NIV)

May you be blessed this year

as St. Patrick and Mr. Wesley were blessed.
