What a storm we had yesterday (June 5, 2016)! – in some areas.
It was reported that in Sandusky the Cedar Point Causeway is shut down due to power lines and utility poles being damaged. Some Sandusky neighborhoods had trees toppled at the roots. The latter are usually indicative of winds over 55 MPH. Weather stations indicate that the high winds were generally out of the south to southwest.
There were also reports on Sunday of hail in Painesville, But we have not been able to verify the size or extent as of this writing.
Wind speeds measured up to 39 MPH with gusts up to 49 MPH at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
