Who:    Jesus Christ, revealed as the second person of the three person God.

As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”  (Mat 3:16-17 NIV)

What:  New life through the Resurrection from the dead.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!  In his great mercy he (the Father) has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, (1Pe 1:3 NIV)

When:  At just the right time approximately 2000 years ago.

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.  (Rom 5:6 NIV)

Where: In Jerusalem

“We are witnesses of everything he (Jesus Christ) did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They killed him by hanging him on a tree, (Act 10:39 NIV)

How:      By the power of the Holy Spirit.

And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you. (Rom 8:11 NIV)

Why:   To remove the penalty of sin and provide an eternal life to those who believe on Him.

For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit, (1Pe 3:18 NIV)

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”  (Joh 3:16 NIV)

The invitation:

“The time has come,” he (Jesus Christ) said. “The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!”  (Mar 1:15 NIV)
